Description
Here is a near perfect original UK example of the ultra rare Fantasy album, Paint A Picture, on Polydor from 1973.The fantastical unlaminated gatefold sleeve is in strong EX condition with amazingly all of the spinal text beautifully preserved. There is no edgewear and the vulnerable white areas remain remarkably bright and clean. The opening edges are strong, straight and unfeathered and there is no unwanted writing anywhere. There is just a very tiny area of light hardly noticeable evidence of price sticker removal on the front, top right. Undoubtedly you will struggle to find a better example of this magnificent rare gatefold.The barely played disc is also a strong EX condition with just the lightest of surface marks to be seen when critically examined under strong lighting; both bright red Polydor labels look perfect with no writing or damage of any kind.This disc plays beautifully all the way through, both sides. You will be aware that this wonderful album, somehow overlooked at the time, contains some of the finest prog-rock to have come out of the UK during the late 60s/early 70s; you will also be aware that pressings of this album were not necessarily of the best quality, and that audio generally suffers; this, however, is one of the best playing examples I have come across.Good luck if you are bidding - and don't forget to check out my other items.I carefully package my records and post tracked to ensure they reach you as they leave me, with the disc removed from the sleeve.
