FAITH NO MORE - FAITH NO MAN - ONE OF A KIND TEST PRESS & ART This auction concerns the first release by the group that would later become FAITH NO MORE. The group was originally known as Faith No Man and under that name they issued an incredibly rare 7” single in 1983 on their own label, “(It’s Oh So) Quiet In Heaven” / “Song Of Liberty” (Ministry Of Propaganda Records FNM 1). Regular copies of this record hardly ever appear for sale or auction, but what we have here is an even more unique item: the original mastering studio production folder for the pressing of the record. As in the case with so many self-financed indie 7”s to this day, the members of the group had to engage a third party to manufacture their disc. Faith No Man utilized a studio in San Francisco for pressing, and this fascinating item has lain buried in its archives until now. The folder contains: - White label 7” test pressing with light pencil-written note on one side to indicate matrix number and A-side. Disc is M- condition; it was probably only played once or twice at the time to check the “cut”; - the original “camera ready” art for the front and back of the record sleeve, on two 8.5” X 11”cards; - three printed copies of the die-cut sleeve, folded in half, so as to be inserted into plastic sleeves; - the original order form for the pressing, detailing date, client and quantity ordered; - five further receipts pertaining to the manufacture of the record, from the studio, pressing plant and printer; - the studio’s own internal work order, affixed to the folder. Given the unique nature of this artefact, we trust you will bid sensibly. For the Faith No More fan, it is a chance to own an incredible piece of FNM history.Payment: I accept PayPal exclusively
