THE RECORD IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL SINGLE MATTE SLEEVE, "Printed in England by Robor Limited". The sleeve design features neither the album title nor band name on the front, but simply a picture (by Eric Hayes) of Sandy Denny's parents, Neil & Edna Denny, standing outside the family home in Arthur Road, Wimbledon, South London, with the band distantly visible through the garden fence
THIS COPY IS PRESSED BY POLYDOR AND COMES COMPLE WITH THE ORIGINAL POLY-LINED POLYDOR COMPAY INNER SLEEVE DATE CODED '089' (August, 1969) - FURTHER EVIDENCE OF ISLAND'S RAPID LABEL DESIGN CHANGES AS THIS INNER DATES THIS COPY AROUND AUGUST/SEPTEMBER 1969 ONLY ONE/TWO MONTHS AFTER THE FIRST RELEASE

Unhalfbricking is the third album by British folk rock band Fairport Convention, released in 1969. It is seen as a transitional album in their history and marked a further musical move away from American influences towards more traditional English folk songs that had begun on their previous album, What We Did On Our Holidays and arguably reached its peak on the follow-up, Liege & Lief, released later the same year.
Featuring several (at the time unreleased) Bob Dylan songs, the album also marked Sandy Denny's maturation as a singer and songwriter, including "Who Knows Where the Time Goes?", a song covered by many other performers and now regarded as a classic.
The only traditional song on the album, "A Sailor's Life", is seen as pivotal in the development of English folk rock music.
The album also gave the band their first UK chart success, reaching number 12 in the UK (the second highest position in the band's entire career), while the single release, "Si Tu Dois Partir", achieved number 21 in the UK singles chart

LABELS: The labels are clean, bright and unmarked with moderate spindle traces
VINYL Visual: The vinyl surfaces still retain their original deep glossy sheen and are practically unmarked - very well card for and carefully handled copy
VINYL Audio: Outstanding - a beautifully recorded album (impressively produced by Joe Boyd who keeps the production very simple and true to the bands sound) and on playback at a loud volume (which is how I always listen to my records prior to listing and its always a great pleasure to return to this one) there are no scratches, no jumps/sticks, barely any surface noise (just a touch between some of the tracks - nothing major at all and the quieter tracks such as "Who Knows Where The Time Goes' play beautifully) and no loud clicks/pops. The whole album plays extremely well throughout to a very high standard with great clarity, no groove-wear, no distortion, sounds great and is critically graded EXCELLENT for audio - very nice copy indeed
SLEEVE: The original matt sleeve I would critically grade as Nr EXCELLENT condition. There is some general handling wear/surface rubbing but the sleeve is clean with no marks and the edges are sharp with most text on the spine clear and bold - very fine example of this easily worn untreated sleeve
