Original 1968 lp on Polydor (583035) (stereo) Fairport Convention – Fairport Convention. This is the original stereo pressing of this classic debut lp from Fairport Convention. An absolute masterpiece psych/folk/rock album recorded with the bands original lineup that included Judy Dyble on vocals.Superb tracks include the stunning reworkings of Dylan’s ‘Jack O’ Diamonds’,Joni Mitchell’s ‘Chelsea Morning’ and ‘I Don’t Know Where I Stand’.A true u.k. classic and totally essential in any serious psych/folk collection.This is a lovely clean copy with glossy vinyl,just a few paper scuffs visible under direct strong light.Clean labels with no spindle marks.The jacket is excellent condition too,laminate front and back complete with just a liitle light creasing.
