Description

FACTORY-SEALED, MINT CONDITION "Evil Empire" Lp, 1st U.S. pressing (see edition numbers 57523 from LP sleeve). This has a very unique provenance: it is directly from the 50-year studio of the album art's creator, Pop Art Founding Father Mel Ramos, whose original painting Crime Buster, a '93 watercolor based on his '62 Crime Buster oil painting, was seen by the band in a catalog of his work -- they asked for permission to use it for the cover, he agreed, the rest of history, and so today for sale is one of the very, very first pressings of the LP, sent to him by the band. I am a NYC-based curator and I obtained this directly from the studio in October of 2023. 'Happy to answer any and all questions.
