An exceptional first pressing of Etta James' eighth studio album, Tell Mama, recorded at the legendary Fame Recording Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. This 1968 Cadet original is a cornerstone of American soul, featuring the definitive version of "I'd Rather Go Blind" and the powerhouse title track.
Finding a US first pressing in this condition—especially one still preserved in its original open shrinkwrap—is an absolute rarity for soul collectors. This copy presents beautifully with the deep, punchy analog sound that only these 1960s Cadet pressings can deliver.
Condition
Vinyl: Very Good Plus (VG+) — Disc retains a high gloss with only light surface hairlines visible under bright direct light. Playback is excellent, offering a clean and powerful audio experience typical of well-preserved early Cadet vinyl.
Sleeve: Very Good Plus (VG+) — Housed in original open shrinkwrap. The cover is sharp with crisp edges. Minor shelf wear visible on exposed edges and slight age-related discoloration on the back cover as is common for this 50+ year-old title.
