The well-respected Furthur Electronic label branches out with a new offshoot here in the form of Entropic Drift, and its inaugural EP is a classy excursion to the outer edges of cosmic techno. Freeform kicks off with the widescreen ambience of 'Nenne Int3' while Rolando Simmonds gets more physical on the restless acidic electro jam that is 'What Do You Actually Do'. Elsewhere, Uj Pa Gaz's 'Dissimilar Function' is a slower, more crystalline jam with a forlorn feeling of acceptance, and JS Zeiter warms your face with radiant synth rays on 'Sunburst.' Coco Steel & Lovebomb also deserve a shout-out for their new age cosmic Balearic charmer, 'Ambisonic.' A great start.
