Some of the RAREST of All Elvis RCA LP Label Variations!

"Burning Love Records"

Item:  "Roustabout"   Mega Rare Fist Pressing SILVER STEREO Another Huge Book Item

Catalog:  LSP-2999

Condition Check:   M in Shrink/M-

Date of Issue: 1964

SPECIAL NOTE:  The albums offered today are some of the rarest of all Elvis labels in the world today.  All are US releases and nearly all book for several hundred dollars and up!  I have decided to pull from my collection and make these nearly once and a lifetime records available for sale.  It has taken me years to find these albums in this condition and you may not ever see some of them again.  Check them out!

Today's Auctions:  STAGGERED STEREO'S:  In the early 1960's RCA and the other record companies were introducing the Stereo format to the public with the advent of the Stereo record player.  RCA had a catalog of Elvis LP's that had only been recorded and released on Mono, but in an effort to capitalize on the market they went back and electronically reprocessed these early Mono LP's and re-released them in Stereo.  There was a little known run of these LP's in 1962 and I have several of them today.  They are all highly valued, all valued between $300 and $500, depending on which price guide. SILVER STEREO's:   In 1963 RCA tried with a new STEREO format, dropping their original LIVING STEREO format in favor of this new label.  Most of the Elvis records found on this label are nearly impossible to find and many have only been discovered to exist in the past few years.  Their book value varies from $400 to $900, they are probably one of the rarest Elvis RCA labels ever released.  I again have several today.  MONO'S:  At the same time the Silver Stereo was released the MONO was also released, again this is a silver top with MONO printed at the bottom of the label, this replaced the Long Play.  This label was short lived, only 3 Elvis LP's were released as first pressings on this label and the re-issues releases are as rare as the Silver Stereos.  This is a stunning offer of incredibly rare Elvis albums!

Closer Look At the Item:  This Silver Stereo LP release has a slightly different story than the Silver Stereo re-issues, but in the end it comes up with about the same value.  In October of 1964 Rousabout was released in LP form, RCA literally days after its release changed to the new white top, in fact, the Hollywood plant ran a initial pressing on the Silver Stereo label, neither of the other plants did.  Don't know if this was  a miscue by the Hollywood plant or planned, but it has left us again with one of the rarest label variations ever created with Elvis.  This record has held an incredible value for years, today has a hefty book value of $600 when found mint, this one is darn close.  The cover is mint, still in its original shrink wrap, just a beauty in every way.  The record, again the SILVER STEREO, is in awesome shape as well, when you pull it from its inner sleeve looks mint, only tilted under a bright light can you pick up on just a few very tiny superficial light paper scuffs, and I mean just a few.  This record is solid M-.  Again, these are the records that really will only climb in value as their numbers are just so very low and always have been.  If you need this record in your collection, don't hestitate with this baby, pure nice!

Note on Packaging:  All Elvis albums are packaged  in Japanese resealable mylar covers, the finest in the industry.  Records are not shipped inside the covers, so no worry of seam splits.  All records are shipped in boxes, no envelopes here.

Rating Guide:

Mint (M):  Perfect in every way, looks to have never been played, should have that look just as it did when you pulled the record from the new cover at the time of original purchase.

Mint Minus (M-):  A nearly perfect record and cover.  This item should show no readily visible signs of wear,  covers and sleeves should have no more than nearly invisible rings or other signs of slight wear and vinyl should still be completely glossy and shiney, just the very lightest hint of wear if it is tilted to very bright light.

Very Good Plus (VG+):  This record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled carefully by the previous owner.  Record surfaces will show some light signs of paper scuffing or light scratches, that don't affect the listening experience.  Slight warps that do not affect sound are OK.  This disc should still contain much of its original luster and sheen.  The covers and picture sleeves should also be in very nice shape, they may have light ring wear or other signs of wear, may have a small cut out hole, indention or stamping present.  Also there can be non obvious writing on the paper goods.

Very Good (VG):  Many of the defects found in the VG+ record and cover will be present but more pronounced in the VG item.  Surface noise will be evident, although the record should play through without skipping or repeating.  Groove wear will now be noticable, scuffing and light scratching will be appearent, a scratch now can be felt with a fingernail.  Labels will be marred with tape or tape residue, stickers or descret writing.  The same will be true for the LP cover or picture sleeve.

Good (G):  Good does not mean bad!  A record in good condition should be placed on a turntable and it should play through, all though the surface noise will be evident.  A cover or picture sleeve will have seam splitting, especially on the bottom seam or spine.  Also there will be noticable ring wear caused by the presence of the record.  The defects will start to overwhere this item.

Fair (F) or Poor (P):  This record will be cracked, badly warped, and will not play through without skipping or repeating.  The picture sleeeve or LP cover will show lots and lots of wear, the seams will be split on all three sides barely able to hold the record.  This item will appear near valueless, unless of course it is a rarity that may not be seen again.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
