This is the 1987 Australian pressing (RCA Victor APL2 6027) of The Memphis Record, compiling Elvis's landmark 1969 sessions at American Sound Studio in Memphis the sessions that produced "Suspicious Minds," "In The Ghetto," and "Kentucky Rain." Presented across two LPs in a gatefold sleeve, this compilation is digitally remastered from the original session tapes.
This copy includes the original fold-out "1969: Year In Review" commemorative newspaper insert, styled as a period newspaper front page covering major 1969 events (the Moon landing, Woodstock, the Grammy and Academy Award winners of the year) alongside Elvis's return to Memphis a nice extra that's easy to lose over the decades.
Records are securely packaged using a rigid record mailer with cardboard stiffeners to prevent bending or corner damage in transit.
