Description

19Up for auction is the notorious Boxcar label set, Elvis '77 The Final Curtain.  This is the much advertised and talked about set that came out a few years ago from Europe.  This is the REAL DEAL set with the giant book and all 6 CD's and 6 DVD's.  Do not accept substitutes!
This set came out amid much fanfare and was heavily advertised on YouTube and various Elvis fan sites.  EPE actually set the law upon the person who put this set together and his US distributor so not many sets got out.  The question everyone had was, did it live up to the hype?
Absolutely!  There are 6 CD's with every known recording that RCA recorded of Elvis in concert that the maker was able to get his hands on.  It includes for the first time the show recorded in Madison, WI (third to last concert) and a new fan recorded source of the last concert from Indianapolis, IN on June 26, 1977.  The DVD's include all known footage recorded by CBS for the Elvis In Concert special from October 3, 1977.  The tapes were painstakingly repaired and cleaned up for the very best presentation possible.  There is also fan shot 8MM footage from various concerts and that includes over 30 minutes of footage from the last show.
If you are a fan of the 1977 Elvis this set is absolutely for you.  The book contains a recap of the final weeks of 1976 and then each tour and concert (almost) is covered in depth with newspaper reviews, photos, and information as far as who was in Elvis' tour band at the various shows, what jumpsuits he wore and when, and other interesting information.  For some reason the June 23 show from Des Moines, Iowa is completely skipped but other than that I believe that all concerts are covered.
