ELVIS PRESLEY - ROUSTABOUT (LPM-2999) - AN ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK RECORDING FROM 1964 - A HOLLYWOOD SILVER TOP "MONO" PRESSING!  

RECORD:  EXCELLENT with beautiful, original gloss! There are some "as-made" small spots in the vinyl as well as a tiny bubble (took me a long time to find it!) on the title song that causes a quick skip. Outside of that, the entire record plays beautifully! This is a First Pressing of this album with the Silver "RCA Victor" above the Dog and "MONO" at the base of the labels. Contrary to published information, and from my own personal experience in dealing with records, these labels were used ONLY at the Hollywood plant! Therefore, just because you have a "White Top" Rockaway or Indianapolis pressing, it does not mean that you have a Second Pressing or reissue! It can be said that a Hollywood "White Top" is a Second Pressing, however. If anyone has seen a "Silver Top" Rockaway or Indianapolis pressing on this title, I would like to hear about it. The labels on this record are simply gorgeous with just slight spindle evidence. The matrix numbers end with 3S/12S. 

COVER:  VG+ with a tiny tear at the base of the spine as well as a similar type tear to the lower right corner, which affects the front and back slicks. Some shelf wear is noticed along the bottom edge. Other than that, this is a very clean, solid cover without seam splits, tape, writing or staple holes. Overall, a great example to add to any collection of Elvis Presley records and/or memorabilia.
