Description
Hard to find Elvis Presley 'Portrait Series' 45 'Surrender' / 'Lonely Man' housed in the original paper sleeve. RCA 101661. "Surrender' plays through very well,with lightest crackle at the intro (VG++), 'Lonely Man' has a short scratch that causes twelve clicks at the start of the song (VG) but both sides don't skip anywhere,and have no audible evidence of a worn stylus being used at any time - generally,a very decent copy except for the infernal 12 clicks.The labels on both sides are good with some very light spindle lines and there are light shades areas on both sides of possible tape in the past. The record still has plenty of high gloss too.
The paper cover has held up well, with some light creasing,and also light age yellowing,and a few darker spots on the front.A good example generally - small initials written in biro on the rear.Please enlarge the pictures (super size) for an appraisal.
Portrait Series Elvis 45's were only issued in Australia,and they aren't often seen.
