Elvis Presley and Various "E-Z Country Programming No. 2" Promo Mono LP RCA 2 (1955). (Catalog # G70L-0108)
Elvis had already experienced some success as primarily a country artist on Sun, but his big breakthrough came upon his move to RCA in 1955 . These two entries here were originally recorded for Sun-Mystery Train and I forgot To Remember To Forget.
RCA promoted both on this DJ sampler from 1955, which also included selections from other Country stars such as Anita Carter, Homer & Jethro, Hank Snow, and Sons of The Pioneers. "Mystery Train" couldn't have sounded more out of place here! Imagine how the typical country DJ reacted to his first listen to Elvis' "I Forgot" which led off the sampler!
This 10" promotional recording did not come with a traditional album cover.

Some minor surface scratches on both sides, occasionally audible. There is a deep scratch on the Hank Locklin track. Record has been deep cleaned on my VPI Record Cleaning Machine.

No Elvis here, but between this auction and the other E-Z disc I have up, you can own all three as a set. This one has songs from Wade Ray, Eddy Arnold, Porter Wagoner, Chet Atkins, Hawkshaw Hawkins, Stuart Hamblen, Jim Reeves, Homer & Jethro, and Hank Snow.
This one is vg+ on one side, vg- on the other.
Both for one bid!

For regular US mail, that's $4.00 for shipping. This includes a new cardboard record mailer at 1.00.
Overseas bidders welcome-airmail and mailer cost usually runs $11.25.
FOR SINGLE CDS:
$2.00 for 1st class shipping, including mailer. $3.00 for Canadian customers.
Overseas bidders: $5.00. (that's air!) Surface is actually about the same, so I ship air mail on single cd's.
FOR VIDEOS: $3.00 for shipping and mailer; overseas 9.50 air, 5.50 surface.
