Artist: Elvis Presley Title: Blue Moon b/w Just Because Label/Number: RCA Victor 20-6640 (M) Record condition: VG+ Notes: Here's a classic, hard-to-find, 78 RPM version of one of Elvis' early RCA releases. The labels are in nice condition with just a couple of light spindle marks. The vinyl is bright and glossy with just a few light scuffs and scratches that warrant grading it down to a conservative VG+. It plays great. Grading: Grading is usually only visual unless there are obvious problems that need to be checked out. I did play this one, partly to hear the songs for myself, and partly to make sure that they played as well as anticipated. The results are noted above. I use Goldmine standards with a VG++ added for items NOT QUITE up to NM. I try to be conservative and grade as though I were buying the record. Mono (M) or Stereo (S) is noted after catalog number. Don't hesitate to e-mail questions. Mailing and costs: Domestic shipping is via USPS, media mail. I do require delivery confirmation as a protection for both myself and the buyer. This is a cheaper alternative to requiring insurance on each package. Of course, insurance will still be optional at a buyer's request and expense. I also add $2.00 to cover the cost of a new custom record mailer and several cardboard pads. Therefore, the total handling fees are $2.80--$2.00 for the mailers/pads and $.80 for delivery confirmation. I can double box for an additional $2.50 if you want extra protection since it is a 78. Overseas shipping on purchases under $50.00 may be sent by USPS First Class Mail International but I will upgrade at the buyer's request. Orders for more than $50.00 will need to be by Priority Mail International. This provides added protection for both the buyer and for me. The price will be the actual shipping costs plus the $2.00 noted above for the mailer and pads.
