Description

For sale here is an EXTREMELY RARE vinyl test-pressing of Elliott Smith's 1998 release "Ballad Of Big Nothing" on Domino Records (RUG74).
There are only 10 copies of this test pressing in the world.

This is a 12" test pressing for a 7" vinyl. (Often 7" vinyl tests are pressed onto 12") It is the test pressing of the original version (not the reissue) and as such contains 3 tracks as follows:
A1 Ballad Of Big Nothing B1 Some Song B2 Division Day
For more details about this release (and the test pressing of it) please see: http://www.elliottsmithdiscography.com/ballad-of-big-nothing.html
This item is now 22 years old. As you can see from the photos, the white sleeve shows signs of industry use. Whilst it's been in my collection it has been stored upright and in a plastic sleeve. The record surface does have some dust and a few scratches to the outer rim of the record (again...consistent with age and industry use), but the playing surface appears clean and free from scratches. (remember - a large area of this record has no music).
Understandably, this is an extremely rare piece of Elliott Smith recording memorabilia, which I have had in my collection for many years. I also have other rare Elliott Smith items which I will be listing in due course so message me if you'd like more details.
Needless to say it will be shipped in near bullet-proof packaging. When I have previously shipped rare records I enclose the vinyl in a plastic sleeve and pack in a custom-made box of thick cardboard and thin MDF too.
The buy it now is £500, but I will consider sensible offers. It is listed elsewhere.
