Description

Up for bid here is the original 1977 LOVE Records pressing of Labyrinth by Eero Koivistoinen. It's some really swinging and fantastic modal/hard bop/post bop/modern jazz, with also some Finnish folk tunes covered by a Finnish all star band.

The lineup is:

Eero Koivistoinen: tenor, soprano and sopranino saxophone

Vladimir (Vova) Shafranov: piano (he has that one fabulous Live at Groovy trio LP on Kompass)

Pekka Sarmanto: bass

Reiska Laine: drums

The vinyl is a shining EX or even NM! No marks or scuffs, plays beautifully. The sleeve is bautiful as well, no ring wear nor bent corners. Only flaw is some seam splits, largest being the top seam. It has some 3-4 cm (1-1.5 inch) split. The lower seam has a smaller split, but it hasn't gone through. The back seam has a very slight beninning of a split too. I'm being very thorough here, the cover looks great! The labels are clean as well.

All in all an excellent copy of this rare Finnish jazz masterpiece.

I mail records with experience, I've been running a small LP-based record label with my mates, and that has given me plenty of time to practice record packing and mailing.

I use stiff cardboard mailers and always remove the record from the original cover to avoid seam splits.
