Description

This is an Edison Diamond disc long playing 10 inch record record number1001. "Aida selections" by the American Concert Orch. and "Carmen" selections by the same Orch. These LP records are very hard to find especially in good condition. There were only 8 of the 10 inch discs issued in 1929. This was right at the end of Edisons disc issues. This one is in very good condition. On side 1. there is a light smudge that dosn't sound.Side 2 has one groove mark which does not sound or retrack on my machine. There is also another smudge type mark which again does not sound. This record plays right through without difficulty on my Diamond disc machine. To find one that does this is quiet surprising as they normally have been played at some time on a wrong needle and damaged. I would grade this disc at E-. My grading is as follows.E+ a perfect copy with no signs of wear, E an excellent copy with only light wear. E- an above average copy with a few light rubs or marks. V+ Some light wear but obviously well played. V worn with surface noise from marks and rubs. V- Poor copy but still playable. Scr. scratch that will sound, ND needle drop. I try to indicate any other defects Buyer pays freight
