I confess, I tried to write something about the musical charm of this RARE gem as it spun on my Technics diamond needle head player, but I couldn't as I was put in a trance by the hypnotic charm of the vinyl's intimate expressions. Original Cover and Sleeve with double-sided lyrics and data, the album itself shines as if just pressed and is in Impressive condition - I'd say Near Mint boardering on Mint, but these words are often confusing to the viewer so I say Excellent. The cover is as seen in the many pictures with no tears at the open end and just normal wear along the edge especially at the top left corner. A very thin score mark, so thin you can't see it in the many pictures, runs across the cover. This is a great find and you will be impressed with the over-all condition of it. I've seen this LP for sale on the MusicStage site for $671.37 in Very Good/Very Good+ Condition. Mine is in better Condition and for a ton less. Please get it NOW if you feel the passion as I won't be relisting. Enjoy and Good Luck this Spring.
This style music has been called Psyche Folk because of its unusal merging of folk with other elements - No wonder John Lennon borrowed his talents!
Eddie Mottau is a Boston-born American guitarist. His career has included membership in the bands Bo Grumpus and Mottau, Drew & Clark (with Jimmy Clark), and session work for musicians Noel Paul Stookey, John Lennon, Yoko Ono, and David Peel.
Mottau played guitar on Lennon's 1974 album Walls and Bridges, and also Rock 'n' Roll, released in 1975.
Mottau's first solo album, No Turning Around, was released in 1973 on MCA Records. Guest artists included Felix Pappalardi and Gerry Mulligan. Motteau's next album, No Moulding, was released in 1977. Mottau lives with his wife in rural New Hampshire, where he continues to write and perform folk-oriented music.
