Description
This is another extremely beautiful Greek pressing lp, it is a heavy, thick vinyl lp from a neatly stored collection of original Greek lps from the '50s to the '70s. The collection was owned by a former record company and radio station employee, many were rare gems. I will be making more of these available, soon they will be all sold, do take advantage of some of these great finds. This lp is on the red and silver ODEON Label #OMCG-6. called: COSTA VIRVOS, No.1. there are 12 songs with vocals by MARINELLA, ROULA KALAKI, KATERINA TZOVARA, ZOE ZAGORAIOU, and others, see back cover close ups for artists and song titles. I listened to excerpts from each side, these Laika Tragoudia Greek songs are wonderful, with very nice quality production and recordings, the music features some excellent bouzoukee playing. The wobbly vocals I very much enjoy, each of these exotic song is quite hypnotic and mesmerizing. The cover has an attractive orange sunset silhouette artwork on front, on back is photo with excellent notes and song titles. The cover is strong and clean, it has the flaps on outside back, seams and spine are strong with NO splits or wear, front and back are near pristine with only a hint of wear and browning mostly on back, and there are NO bent or pushed in corners, writing, stickers, etc. The lp has near pristine labels and vinyl. Labels have only a very slight darkening in one area NO spindle marks, stains, wear, tears, etc. I believe the darkness is from the manufacturer. Playing surfaces have a deep glossy mirror like shine, I noticed only a few very light surface scuffs that do not affect play. These rugged durable early pressings sound absolutely beautiful, both sides were crystal clear with NO distortion or background noises. Glad I could make another gem available in this nice CONDITION: COVER NM - - - / LP NM - - . Do consider adding it to your collection if you search for the hardest to find lps in the best condition.
