READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Early Beatles LP Apple 1975 Rarest “All Rights” Variation in Shrink, NM!

By 1975, The Early Beatles was not selling well to begin with.  Over the previous decade, 9 of these 11 songs had been issued and reissued on various albums, 45’s and E.P.’s on the Vee Jay, Tollie, Capitol, Apple and the green Starline labels.  By 1975, even the newer Beatles fans didn’t really need this album, unless it was for the sake of being a completist.  Like you and me these days.

Apple copies from the 1971 to 1974 pressings are everywhere if you want one.  But any in the “All Rights” pressings from 1975 are scarce.

This one with the disclaimer at the bottom of the Side 1 label on two lines is the scarcest.

It’s also the copy that is pictured in my two-volume flash drive of rare Beatles album labels.  If you care about American label variations you’ve never seen before, you should definitely pick up this set of volumes.  Flash drives are compatible with most Mac and PC computers!

Vinyl--- NM/NM.  Vinyl looks nearly unplayed. Maybe a little dulling of the grooves over time, this vinyl shimes like new.

Plates--- H12/H13.  Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.

Cover--- EX.  Cover is very close to looking new.  Shrink is 100% tight, NO SPLITS.  Just a bit of foxing on the back cover where the promo hole is.  Promo hole at the top right.

Collectors know that as these covers age, the white border around the front slick tends to get faded and dirty, blending the snow white borders into the cream-colored background of the front slick.  This cover still has the distinct white border against a cream-colored slick after 50 years.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

Breathe Holes---

There are two breathe holes on the front cover.  One is on Paul’s sternum, the other is due east, to the left of Ringo’s head.

There are two breathe holes on the back cover.  They are positioned to each side of the factory information at the very bottom.

Labels--- NM/NM.  Labels looked like they were printed just this morning.  NO SPINDLE MARKS.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- VG+.  Each side has a split a few inches long.  Uniform yellowing, both sides.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: 17.  This must have been the very last “All Rights” pressing as the 17 RIAA was split in half between Apple and Orange Capitol.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)
