About This Record.  Here's a cool original keeper STRONG EX copy of The Open Mind's sole same titled LP from the UK on Philips Records from 1969!  One of the best dozen or so Psych LPs ever produced anywhere, and highly sought after and a necessary rarity not only for being scarce but for being unsurpassed cool music that even Beatles lovers like!  I bet you have never seen one of these for sale, at least stateside!  This one only came out in Stereo. Plays Near Mint except Tracks B1 and B2 that have a couple of pops from a very noticeable scratch (see photo), so I down grade to EX.  My Keeper copy for years, plays awesome!  Please see my detailed description and gradings below, and please CHECK my Feedback which shows you my grading Cover/Vinyl of other LPs I have recently sold and what the lucky people who are now taking care of my vinyl thought about our experience.

Cover Condition: EX cover. Light lamination wear/bubbling along the spine on front cover; light creases here and there.  NO spine or seam splits or problems.  Strong corners with just the lightest of wear.  Downgraded for lamination wear and light creasing.  Otherwise Extremely Nice!  And this is a VERY fragile cover.  Stored carefully by me for years, just like I store all my other LPs.  Please See all the Photos I took.  I didn't take them for fun and frolic.

Vinyl Condition: STRONG EX/better.  Side One looks EX+ with just light paper marks and plays Near Mint.  Very quiet between tracks.  IMPORTANT:  Side Two has a VERY noticeable scratch over tracks B1 and B2 that is pretty innocent, just a couple pops, and a little noise b/t B1 and B2 in dead zone; no concentric pops from the scratch.  Just a couple scattered ones.  See the photo of this.  Rest of side Two plays Near Mint.  So I downgrade the overall vinyl grade to EX given the importance of this LP and the visual problem.

Inserts: Comes with original UK polylined innersleeve (see photo), but also comes cleaned on my VPI Record Cleaning Machine and in a new innersleeve (so the old dust does not reattach!  OH my gosh!!.

Labels:  Near Mint original Vault green labels (see photos of all labels)

Packaging.  I clean all vinyl on my V.P.I. Record Cleaning Machine and place it in a new innersleeve so the old dust does not reattach; but I also include the innersleeve that came with the LP if it is the original.  I separate the vinyl in its new sleeve after cleaning from the cover, and place the cover and the separately packed vinyl in at least one if not two plastic innersleeves that help protect against moisture damage during this cool records transition to your record collection.  I use sturdy carboard containers with real corners and pack with at least one insert stiffener, and I place neon stickers on the front and back of the package indicating “Do Not Bend” and “Fragile” to help facilitate a safe passage.
