Description

About This Record.  This is another cool LP from my Vinyl Vault, that everybody wants and nobody has!  NO Reserve, even though this copy now for sale is nicer than my Litter "Distortions" LP that I sold on October 12, 2015 for $809.00, and seriously nicer than my VG/G+ copy I sold last week for $230m, just to level set, but heck . . . I ain't got no reserve, as usual, because buyers know me, and this LP!

Anyways, YES, this is a nice original KEEPER First Pressing USA (mono of course) copy of The Litter's seminal psych garage LP from 1967 entitled Distortions released in a small quantity on Warick Records in Minneapolis Minnesota.  This is the rarely seen PROMO copy ("just" a stamp on the back cover "Complimentary"); but that is how the handful of known Promo copies came.  Of course, Featuring Zippy Kaplan on guitar.  This is my FAVORITE LP and I have owned precisely 15 copies in the last 36 years (fortunately I lived in Minneapolis for a while, but even way back when these were holy grails that one had to rent one-time a significant other for, or mortgage the house).  And this copy, cover and vinyl, was the best of all of those copies I bought, as this was and is my Holy Grail Psych Garage LP, hands down.  Total fuzz guitar blow-out.  (no worries, even though I have upgraded, and mixed covers and vinyl for the last 36 years, there was only one pressing and no distinction for cover or vinyl on any original copies of this that exist). But I just acquired an in-the-shrink copy in true Near Mint condition, and so now I can part with this.  It took me LOTS of work, so I hate to talk about money, BUT

This copy has a nicer cover, and vinyl, than the last nice copy I sold for $809 on October 12, 2015. And much much nicer than the copy I sold last week for $230.  So, anyways, this is your chance because I will never be selling another copy because I have my keeper copy and have other holy grails to purchase.  Just have fun.

Please see my detailed photos of the cover and LP and labels, as well as the details below and

PLEASE CHECK my Feedback which will show you my grading, Cover/Vinyl, of other LPs I have recently sold and what the lucky people who are bought them think of them and our experience. The photos of the labels or cover list the songs and any possible details about the labels.

I offer full refund including shipping both ways (for USA and foreign buyers in case for some wildly strange reason you might be unhappy with this purchase.  Comes hand-cleaned on my VPI 16.5 Record Cleaning machine (hate those automated 17's) and placed in a new dust-free sleeve for your grandchildren.  And at least one plastic sleeves for moisture protection (for you and me).

Cover Condition: Excellent (EX) cover with PROMO stamp on back cover "Complimentary".  I had a VERY hard time trying to decide whether to keep this promo copy, of my stock in shrink wrap copy, but . . . here you go!  This cover would be close to Near Mint Minus (NM-) BUT, it has a small 3/4 inch tear on the top right seam on opening edge, and a 1/2" split on the bottom right seam on the opening edge, and accompanying very light corner dings.   otherwise, very NICE!  Most copies of this LP had MAJOR seam splits and cover wear (serious BIG TIME!! ring wear) because of the sturdy heavy nature of the thick cardboard covers, which obviously leads to problems and splits when you put the LP in and out, UNLESS you store this carefully like I have for decades in a 3 mil plastic sleeve). This cover is Very nice; just those darn splits in the opening edge.  Please See all the Photos I took.  I didn't take them for fun and frolic.  This was my top keeper copy for decades.  Might be yours also.

Vinyl Condition: Excellent (EX) vinyl. Looks VERY Strong Very Good Plus (Vg+) BUT Plays VERY VERY Strong EX to EX+ or better, with just a few pops (some in the trail out after Action Woman as music is ending and almost inaudible, and between that song and the next track, which has one pop I think).  Pretty much impossible to upgrade unless you are extremely lucky.  I know. I bought 15 other copies over the last 36 years and this was the nicest LP (except for the one I just got to end my quest).  Anyways, IMPORTANTLY, the vinyl looks STRONG Very Good Plus (VG+) because it has some light, but not so noticeable paper marks.  MOST had many many and look trashed, like VG or such), like my VG/G+ copy I sold recently for $230.  And Yes, I repeat,  Yes, I have owned 14 lesser copies, and this one was THE BEST (until my recent private upgrade at great expense).

Labels. Excellent (EX) labels.  There are some spindle marks on Side 2 of the label (more so than the other), and a few factory label imperfections on Side 1 of the labels that makes it look like a smaller Guinea Pig took a few bites out of the label.  Obviously, the Pig thing is impossible given the label is glued to the LP, and there are no Guinea Pig feet marks on the LP, let me assure you!.  I think the label was just folded incorrectly, and part of the label was folded under.  That happened sometimes on original garage LPs on private labels in the great year of 1967.  See Photo.  Please see photos of all labels.  THIS IS NOT A REISSUE!

Inserts: Comes with original plain white (now brown) paper inner sleeve, but no worries, the vinyl also comes in a new rice paper sleeve and hand-cleaned on my VPI record cleaning machine and in a new rice paper equivalent sleeve so the old Dust does not reattach!  Oh My Gosh!

Packaging.  I clean all vinyl on my V.P.I. Record Cleaning Machine and place it in a new innersleeve so the old dust does not reattach; but I also include the innersleeve that came with the LP if it is the original.  I separate the vinyl in its new sleeve after cleaning from the cover, and place the cover and the separately packed vinyl in at least one if not two plastic innersleeves that help protect against moisture damage during this cool records transition to your record collection.  I use sturdy carboard containers with real corners and pack with at least two insert stiffeners, and I place neon stickers on the front and back of the package indicating “Do Not Bend” and/or “Fragile” or something like that to help facilitate a safe passage.

Shipping and Payment.  PayPal only.  I ship promptly worldwide; sometimes the automatic eBay invoice does not have accurate shipping if you buy more than one LP, so if you are unsure email me and ask for an invoice. . . .  I offer full refund on this record including shipping both ways, unless you live outside North America in which case I will refund you shipping one way unless I made a mistake which I sometimes do because I am only human..  CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS:  Please add sales tax!
