The Beatles
A Hard Day's Night
(with the much rarer EJ Day cover)
EX- throughout

Have a listen to a track from this album up for auction:

This Lp was released on the 10th July1964. The 45rpm was released in April and at that time the Beatles' film had yet to get a title and as the story goes, Ringo emerged from a long days work saying "It's been a hard day," then seeing it was already dark added " 's night." This was then announced to the press as the title on the 17th of April. Ringo may have seen this phrase before in Lennons book "Sad Michael."
Holding a number 1 postition for a huge 21 weeks, from July the 25th!!!
This is also the ONLY Beatles album to have every track written by Lennon/McCartney.

Vinyl:
QUALITY HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL:162g
EX-. Lovely heavy vinyl with a gorgeous sheen. There are only very light marks, with certainly...
NOTHING TO MAKE HER JUMP OR SKIP.
I have just listened to the whole album and thoroughly enjoyed the playback, just a little background crackle, which I am sure will be hugely reduced with a gentle professional clean, to get the dust out of the grooves.
Very nice indeed.
Flat Flat, FLAT!

Labels: EX! There are just a small handful of very light spindle marks, visible only when angled towards the light.
Next to ZERO central hole wear...

Please see the detailed pictures and click on them for larger and more detailed images.

Outer text "The Parlophone Co. LTD" (ONLY 1st Press have this) it DOES have the "Sold in the uk.." text.
"Record First Published 1964"
She carries the larger 'Chubby' text, as is normal with 1st pressings.
Proud and raised "KT" tax code to side 1

 Cover: EX-.
*It is the rarer E J Day cover...typically manufactured at a ration of around 10:1 in comparsion to the Garrod & Lofthouse sleeves.
Don't find this very often for Hard Days Night cover!!*
The cover has been loved, with only a few little fingers of spidering eminating from the seams and very few crescents of spidering to the opening.
NO SPLITS OR TEARS!!
The back WHITE card carries a couple of tiny stains-really nothing to worry about.
PLEASE SEE THE DETAILED IMAGES FOR YOURSELVES.
Good STRONG & LEGIBLE spine.
Fantastically strong flipbacks too.

Inner: VG++. ORIGINAL "Use Emitex" inner.
With "Patents Applied For" printed text-showing how early this is too!
She carries some staining and some tears near the window, but again, nothing to worry about.
NO writing
NO seam splits
