EVOLUTION OF ESKIMO MUSIC “Nulakatuck / Today” 45 (Eskimo)

Very weird and obscure 7” of Inuit (Eskimo) music from…somewhere? I really have no information on this one, but the music is a very interesting mix of chants with drums and traditional singing and some kind of strange, vaguely religious-sounding modern folk. One of the most unique records I’ve heard, for sure! Sounds like raw field recordings, but who knows. Pretty interesting for those who are into Folkways, Lyrichord, Sublime Frequencies, and similar curators of traditional and contemporary world music.

Condition: Record is VG+, with crackle at the beginning and occasional mostly light pops afterwards, as you can hear in the soundclip. No sleeve.
