We don’t know for sure, but the record we are offering here is possibly a one-of-a-kind. What we do know is that is certainly exceedingly rare, and we could find nothing to indicate that one of these has been offered on eBay before.

This is a metal acetate LP, which we recently obtained from an individual that was very close to the source of this recording. We did extensive research trying to find out some information about this record and found nothing, and we’re not certain if it even went into production or if there was just an acetate made. This acetate has a Columbia “Reference Recording” label which has a Nashville address printed on it.

According to the cover, this 5 member band was from West Virginia but made this recording in Nashville. This is their first album. The material is all original, written by Jeff Hanichen, who is also the group’s 12 string guitar player. The music has a definite sixties pop rock feel to it, with some cool psych sounds, a considerable amount of harpsichord, and lots of nice vocal harmony. The production and engineering is top notch. We could not think of any band right off hand to compare them to.

COVER: EX+ (This is a super nice cover with one small rub in the top right corner and a small amount of very light surface wear on the front. The name of the second song on the back cover has been crossed out and a new title written beside it, which may be because the band decided to change the song’s name after the cover was made. The front cover also has a catalog number of WRS 7002.)

VINYL: EX+ (This record is in much better condition than the majority of acetates we have seen in the past. It is very clean and plays through great. It looks as though it has had only a small number of easy plays and has been very well cared for.)   Click an Image to Enlarge
