ETTA JAMES ROCKS THE HOUSE

Up for auction is the late, great Ms. Etta James seminal live LP, recorded at the New Era Club in Nashville, Tennessee on September 27th and 28th, 1963. This---the first of only three live recordings ever recorded---captures the soul, energy and raw power of Ms. James' performance in an intimate club setting during the peak of her illustrious career.

Sadly, this Rock and Roll AND Rockabilly Hall of Fame recipient, six-time Grammy Award winner, along with countless other recognition awards has recently passed on just short of her 74th birthday. She leaves behind a stellar legacy in American music that will be cherised and appreciated for generations to come.

This version is on the CADET label, which unlike the silver ARGO label, may have been a stereo edition that came immediately after that initial release. Either way, this recording sounds magnificent, with the vinyl being in very good(++)/excellent(-) condition with minor scuffs and very few (if any) scratches that in no way affects playback. The sleeve is in excellent(+) condition: and considering its age, has a couple of minor paper tears on the bottom left and right corners of the back cover, as well as faint paper discoloration on the record opening edge. This promo editdion also has two very small "puncholes" on the middle of the sleeve, which incidentally goes right through the record label to clearly indicate its promotional copy status.
