Description
"NBC Symphony Orchestra" radio show transcription discs issued by The Armed Forces Radio Service. One complete 55 minute radio broadcast on these two 16 inch, vinyl, 33 1/3 rpm discs. These discs were issued to Armed Forces Radio Service radio stations during World War Two for broadcast to U. S. troops overseas only and not available to the general public, very rare!
"NBC Symphony" radio program #53 from December 31, 1944 featuring the NBC Symphony Orchestra performing from Symphony Hall in New York City, conducted by Eugene Ormandy with violin soloist Erika Morini
Music includes:
1. "Concerto In D For Orchestra" by Handel
2. "Symphony #35 (Haffner Symphony)" by Mozart
3. "Violin Concerto In D Minor" by Wieniawski featuring violin soloist Erika Morini
Discs are in Excellent condition with Excellent sound, beautiful discs!
