This beautiful & scarce 2-LP gatefold release (1968) with bonus 7” (Satie aphorisms, reflections & sentences) disc by the French label ADES features revolutionary works by French avant-garde composer Erik Satie (1866-1925). Satie’s works have been a major influence on contemporary classical music, everything from ambient to minimalism. Orchestral works are conducted by Manuel Rosenthal with the Orchestre National De France and pianists Georges Auric & Jacques Fevrier perform solo works. Records (2) are in NEAR MINT+ (appear unplayed) condition & stunning graphic gatefold jacket is NM. Highly recommended for anyone interested in avant-garde, electronic, experimental or improvised music, don’t miss it!
