Eric Clapton released his self-titled solo debut album in August 1970 on ATCO Records in the U.S. Following stints as a member of The Yardbirds, John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers, Blind Faith, and Cream the pump was primed and this album generated 3 hit singles in "After Midnight," "Let It Rain," and "Blues Power." Special guests included Leon Russell, Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett, Rita Coolidge, Bobby Keys, Jim Gordon, and other session players.

This copy (SD 33-329) is from the first pressing in 1970 and is in very good condition. The cover does have some edge wear as can be seen in the pictures but I rate it VG+. The disc plays cleanly and I also rate if VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl.

In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 50 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
