ERIC CLAPTON CLAPTON BLUES 180 GRAM 5 LP BOX SET
Limited Edition 180g 5LP Box Set!
Only 3,000 Copies In the U.S.!
Cut From Original Master Recordings by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Studios!
Warner Brothers / Reprise releases Clapton Blues, an Eric Clapton blues box set. The 180g 5LP collection includes the three albums From The Cradle, Riding With The King and Me and Mr. Johnson along with an exclusive lithograph of the cover image photo of Eric.
From The Cradle was EC's follow-up to his mega-hit Unplugged. Remarkably, it was the first "blues-only" album recorded by Clapton during his solo career and consisted solely of blues covers. Critically acclaimed world-wide, From The Cradle debuted at Number One in the U.S. on Billboard Magazine's Top 200 Albums Chart and its Blues Album Chart when released in October 1994. Six years later, EC teamed up with blues legend BB King for the Grammy Award winning, Riding With The King. It also reached Number One on Billboard's Blues Album Chart and the upper half of the Top 200. On Me and Mr. Johnson, released in 2005, Clapton tackled 14 of the 29 songs written by Robert Johnson during his lifetime. For fans of deep blues, it doesn’t get any better than this. Like its predecessors, Me and Mr. Johnson spent time at Number One on Billboard's Blues Album Chart and peaked at #14 on the Top 200.

Eric Clapton Slowhand 35th Anniversary Deluxe LIMITED Edition 3 CD/180 GRAM LP/24/96 DVD BOX SET
Limited Edition - 3000 Copies!
Deluxe 35th Anniversary Edition 3CD, 180g LP, 24/96 DVD Box Set! Half-Speed Mastering!
Remastered by Seth Foster & Kevin Reeves at Sterling Sound From Original Masters!
Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums of All Time - Rated 325/500!
Eric Clapton has fashioned albums in many different styles and with many different themes, yet few have the sense of oneness that pervades Slowhand. Slowhand was recorded at Olympic Studios in South West London in May 1977 and was produced by Glyn Johns. Released in November 1977, Slowhand was the most successful album of Clapton's '70s studio recordings. It reached No. 2 on the Billboard chart where it stayed for five weeks, spending a total of 74 weeks on the American album chart.
Slowhand features "Wonderful Tonight', "Lay Down Sally", and "Cocaine" - songs that are still heard regularly on radio and at Eric Clapton's live shows. So long after its release is a great recommendation and testimony to its place in Clapton's canon. The album includes cover versions of songs written by some of his favorite songwriters (JJ Cale, John Martyn, Don Williams, Arthur Crudup) along with original compositions by Eric Clapton.
This Super Deluxe Edition features four Slowhand session outtakes (3 of them previously unreleased) "Looking At the Rain", "Alberta", 'Greyhound Buss" and "Stars, Strays And Ashtrays".
A week before the Slowhand sessions commenced, the band performed at London's Hammersmith Odeon. The Super Deluxe Edition captures the complete 14 track Hammersmith Odeon, April 27, 1977 concert on two CDs. Songs featured at the Hammersmith Odeon show include "Tell the Truth", "Knocking On Heaven's Door", "Can't Find My Way Home", "Stormy Monday", "Badge", "I Shot the Sheriff" and "Layla".
"Slowhand was the nickname given to Clapton by the Yardbirds. On this quintessential Seventies album, he mixes candlelit love songs and guitar-hero riffs; "Cocaine" and "Wonderful Tonight" are the hits, but don't overlook "Next Time You See Her," a tender melody loaded with a death threat to a lover's suitor." - rollingstone
