Although  “slowhand” had been around since 1964l, this was Eric Clapton's first solo album (as most fans know) and made with the help and assistance of Delaney Bramlett and a host of top musicians. It's not what most people today associate with Eric Clapton - no blues-rock star turns, no hot guitar. It's what Clapton wanted to try, his first effort at a vocal solo album. Is it good - that's a matter of taste, it surprisingly only made 17 in the charts which makes a near  perfect playing original first issue very difficult to find.

If you have only heard the CD versions of this album chances are you have not heard the original Tom Dowd vinyl mix which leaves the Delaney and bootleg Clapton  mixes  in the dust.

Overall a great example of this 1st issue  Polydor Super original made in England
