On offer here is a TERRIBLY RARE and in demand BLUES EP (especially in this condition!!!!) called "Rhythm and Blues" by Howlin' Wolf. Tracks are: "Come To Me Baby"; "Don't Mess With Me Baby"; "Smokestack Lightning" and "You Can't Be Beat".
THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST AND MOST DESIRABLE BLUES EPs FROM THE MID-50s AND INSPIRED MANY OF THE WHITE BOY BRITISH R&B GROUPS THAT EMERGED IN THE EARLY 1960s. THIS EP IS SO VERY HARD TO FIND, SO ASK YOURSELF WHEN YOU'LL NEXT SEE A LOVELY ORIGINAL PRESSING OFFERED FOR SALE???!!! DON'T MISS OUT!!!!
This is the ORIGINAL 1956 UK Tri-Centre GOLD LETTERED 1st Pressing on the London label RE-U 1072. Any fan of Howlin' Wolf, the Chicago Blues sound, or 50s music in general will want to have this in their collection!!!!
The record labels are in LOVELY condition with NO writing, NO wear and NO obvious spindle marks. The disc itself just has a few very light marks - more through handling than play - and is strictly graded at EXCELLENT!!!! The wonderful sleeve - the front of which still bears a broadcasting library sticker - has NO writing, NO creases, NO laminate peel and just a couple of small areas of wear at the top reverse flipback. So, the sleeve is strictly graded at EXCELLENT. Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brilliant!!!!
