Totally clean new looking vinyl without signs of use. No spindle marks. The sleeve edges and corners show miniscule signs of age, hence the Mint minus grading.  Thick heavy pressing.

I Try My Best To Avoid Human Errors

I always describe the condition of every LP as accurately as possible.

I do not offer dirty records or records with finger prints.

Most of my LPs have been taken care of hence they do not need cleaning.

If I decide they would benefit from cleaning they will get a professional clean with a KNOSTI manual cleaning device whereby the LP’s get washed thoroughly in a correctly formulated solution of demineralized water, propasol and antistatic agent. The results are second to none. Motorized cleaning machines cannot be trusted.

If a record looks unplayed and near mint I will not clean it.

In such cases there might still be the occasional tick because of static or whatever.

Usually simply playing these records will remove the tiny dust particles which cannot be seen with a bare eye. Sometimes they will need to be cleaned wet to get rid of the noise.

If record cleaning is done the wrong way surface noise can get worse.

With Lenco clean and similar cleaning systems it becomes impossible to play the LPs dry.

They turn out to be a crackling nightmare because of residue left in the grooves.

With my present cleaning method all these LPs become once again playable without any surface noise.

After having done all checks with great care there is still always the possibility of a problem when the record is eventually played back on somebody elses equipment. It would be idiotic of me to be careless or deliberately inaccurate when describing a record.

Disputes can best be avoided if buyers acknowledge that judging sound is a subjective science with many abstract values, nothing is cast in stone. There are variations in opinions from listener to listener which is perfectly normal.  

Example: One LP has a repeat click for 10 revs in a loud passage at the very beginning. The rest is absolutely perfect. Another LP has 1 loud thump in a very quiet passage. I might give the LP with 10 ticks a better grade, other people might easily disagree. 

In addition there is a possibility that unless the entire LP has been play graded, one or two single loud bumps are easily missed.

If a buyer finds a “scratch” or “mark” on an LP that was described as excellent or near mint he should not automatically assume that I have deliberately lied about the condition, mistakes can happen. 

If a buyer is not happy I will  refund the LP cost -  but please remember to notify  me  within 3 days of receipt.

In such rare cases I will refund the price of the LP - but only if it is returned in a reasonable time. I am prepared to loose the listing fee, final value fee and the time/cost of packaging/posting. I sometimes use a hidden UV marks to identify my lps.

I'm very sorry that I cannot refund any postage including the return postage.

If buyers fail to request and pay for insurance in addition to the standard delivery fee, and the situation arises where the postal services damage or loose uninsured items, I cannot be held responsible.

I will keep posting receipts for a few weeks and I will always do my best to assist with inquiries if there is a problem. Due to the nature of this type of transaction there is a small risk that something can go wrong. This risk should be shared fairly between buyer and seller.

Packing:

For one, two or three single LPs I use the thickest recycled cardboard I can find, cut to size and secured with plenty of packing tape. I don't trust mailing envelopes with stiffeners because it's too easy for corners to get bent in post office bags or on sorting office conveyor belts. For expensive records I often add labels stating: Photos - Pls Don't bend. Unfortunately unless I was to use solid board there is always the off chance that a corner will get bent, for which I cannot accept any responsibility.

Box sets and multiple single LPs are packed in standard cruziform LP mailers of average strenghth. They are usually more resiliant due to the combined strenghth of several LPs.

I cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by excessive force having been applied during delivery. If buyers would like insurance please inform me, but there is a small additional amount to pay.

Insured or recorded delivery is possible and advisable for items above £35, at extra cost and strictly only by prior agreement. Payment for Auction items must be made within 24 hours of Auction Close. Failure to pay within this time will result in items being offered to the next highest bidder or relisted. Winning bidders who are bidding on items closing later must still pay for items won within this period. Postage discount for subsequently won items will always be given when these are invoiced.  

The maximum number of LPs per parcel is about 6 or 7 pieces, depending on the combination of vinyl weight, weight of the covers/sleeves and the cardboard mailer. When the total weight approaches 2 KG a new packet is needed, costing the full postage of the first item plus the reduced rate for each subsequent LP.
