This is Elvis’ first album release in the UK. Released in 1956 on the “His Master’s Voice” record label.
From the album liner notes: “The jazz phenomenon to end all phenomena - the record-breaker to end all record-breakers is a slim six-footer from Mississippi, USA, names Elvis Presley. In his first year as a recording artist, this good looking 21-year-old has sold well over ten million discs - three releases alone, “Heartbreak Hotel”, “Blue Suede Shoes” and “Hound Dog” each selling over a million copies in the States...”

* This record is not in great condition and plays with some background crackle and a couple of clicks here and there, but has no jumps, skips or distortion and is still a very good listen – because it is rare it could be used as a collection filler!
Side One: Blue Suede Shoes; I Got A Sweetie (I Got A Woman); I’m Counting On You; I’m Left, You’re Right, She’s Gone; That’s All Right; Money Honey.
Side Two: Mystery Train; I’m Gonna Sit Right Down And Cry (Over You); Tryin’ To Get You; One Sided Love Affair; Lawdy, Miss Clawdy; Shake, Rattle And Roll.
The album is on HMV Records, CLP 1093. Matrix side one: 2XAV 255-1N (stamped). Matrix side two: 2XAV 256-1N (stamped).
Released in 1956. UK pressing. Mono.
Condition: (as Record Collector's grading system. If I see a mark it will be mentioned however light/small, including from the usual very light paper scuffs/marks - usually caused by record being removed from the inner sleeve, which appear on nearly all old records and which are only visible under strong light)
Vinyl side 1: good (well used, quite a few marks can be seen, but none that cause jumps, sticks or skips, has background crackle and a couple of clicks but is still very listenable with no distortion).
Vinyl side 2: good (well used, quite a few marks can be seen, but none that cause jumps, sticks or skips, has background crackle and a couple of clicks but is still very listenable with no distortion).
Cover (fully laminated, flipback): poor (various tears, small bits missing, blue stain on bottom of front and back cover, generally very tatty - see photos).
The record plays with no jumps, skips or sticks.
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
