ELVIS PRESLEY - 7" 45 - MY BOY / LOVING ARMS - RCA-2458EX - 1974
Super rare production in the USA and exported to the UK for sale. Original RCA paper record sleeve also intact and included with sale (please see below for details).
I have had alot of fun finding out about the history and rarity of this item - am sure Elvis fans know all of this, but briefly:
- in 1974 due to labour issues, the UK was unable to keep up with record production in line with demand - so this record was manufactured in the USA specifically for import to the UK (hence the "EX" for export in the catalog number)
- the US factory ran out of the standard orange RCA labels so used grey ones instead, making the item even more unique
- the RCA green and white sleeve was printed specifically for exports from the US to the UK - RCA in orange and an RCA in green with Ptd. in U.S.A. on one side and 21-107-1 PT4 on the other.
Very unique item. 7 inch. Released in 1974.
Great used condition.
