A GREAT COLLECTOR'S ITEM.

THIS IS A GREAT RECORD FOR ELVIS COLLECTORS AND ROCK'N'ROLL. AN ORIGINAL COPY OF THE ROCKABILLY CLASSIC SUN 210 'GOOD ROCKING TONIGHT/ I DON'T CARE IF THE SUN DON'T SHINE' BY ELVIS PRESLEY. THIS COPY WAS ISSUED IN 1954, THE SECOND SUN RELEASE BY A NEW SINGER CALLED ELVIS PRESLEY.

The labels have some wear but no writing and no stickers. You can see this on the scans. Not bad for 50 years old. The Good Rocking Label has less wear than the I Don't Care label so this copy would make for a nice display and would be a great record to own.

The record has been played a lot and has a quite a lot of surface wear but retains some sheen. I gave it a spin on my dansette and the 45 plays with the sun hiss and some crackle but the music clear. It plays fine from start to end of the I Don't Care side, no skips, jumps etc. There is a jump in the first bar of Good Rocking Tonight and a very small smudge that affects the last few bars (I haven't tried to clean this), otherwise plays ok as the other side. Having said this, SUN 45s are really not for playing but for owning and displaying. They were not made with the modern stylus or system in mind.

Now for the details: This 45 has the trail-offs u-131- 45 72 and u-130-45 72 with the 1cm gap before the 72 as it should be for. I've held plenty of Sun 45s and this is absolutely right. The record also has the 3 Push Marks underneath the labels on both sides.
