ELVIS PRESLEY - “FOR LP FANS ONLY” (LSP-1990), A MEGA-RARE 1964-65 ISSUE WITH SUPER RARE COVER ERROR. THE SAME PHOTO WAS MISTAKENLY USED ON BOTH SIDES! RECORD: NM with beautiful, glossy surfaces! This Rockaway pressing may have been played once or twice and then tucked away. The "White Top" logo labels are also Near Mint with barely a spindle mark to be found! This album was originally released in March of 1959 and includes songs that had been previously released exclusively on 45 RPM and 45 E.P. the matrix numbers on this record end with 1S/1S. COVER: VG++ (EXC) and very, very clean! There are absolutely no seam splits, tears, tape, writing, stickers or staple holes. There is only a hint of ring wear on each side as well as a couple of minor corner tip "bumps", seen at the open end. The spine, upper and lower edges are fully legible and solid all the way around. This is the super rare Error Cover that has the same photo of Elvis on both sides instead of the Army uniform photo on the back side! Basically, all this cover is missing is shrink wrap, which if present, would have enabled this cover to achieve Near Mint status. This album has obviously been adult-owned since new and stored very carefully over the past 54 years. Rare this nice! INNER SLEEVE: The original "ELVIS' Great LP Catalog" (40A) sleeve from 1964. This sleeve is in beautiful condition with no tears, edge splits, check marks or other writing!
