ELVIS ALBUM RCA LPM 1382. U.S.A. 1956.
What a cracker we have here! Before I mention the lovely condition, I want to point out two facts which make this issue rarer than the more common LPM 1382 issued at the same time!
1. Side two has the stamper number G2WP 7208 - 17S, which indicates this disc contains the rarer "alternate" version of Elvis singing "Old Shep" which was used by mistake by RCA in 1956!
2. The album back cover is the less often seen "picture-less" 1956 original, confirmed by the lack of an "RE" as appears on the 1963 pressing!
Two nice details which make this album one to watch before the auction end date!
This album has been played, but well looked after, the cover is lovely front and back, all seams intact, no splits etc, one tiny bit of paper loss to top opening seam and some slight sticker residue on back cover is about all to note! I will just add there is a small amount of age related "yellowing" on cover but this hardly detracts from the overall very impressive appearance! The disc itself is also of a very high grade! Nothing again really to note... a few light insignificant cover scuffs here and there, it would surely be hard to find a better copy! No doubt about it this is a lovely addition to any collection.
