ELVIS PRESLEY ELVIS' GOLDEN RECORDS 1st PRESS MONO LP

    From March 1958 comes this original mono pressing of the iconic LP Elvis' Golden Records (RCA Victor LPM-1707) with the blue letters (replaced by white on subsequent pressings) and with no song titles at the top of its front cover.  Ironically enough, this LP - the first album ever to include such all-time rock 'n' roll classics as "Heartbreak Hotel," "Hound Dog," "Don't Be Cruel," "Love Me Tender," "All Shook Up," and "Jailhouse Rock" - was actually Elvis' weakest selling LP to date, peaking at a mere #3 on the charts as opposed to the #1 placing of his previous four LP's, making this first pressing a lot less common than one might think . . .
   The cover is very good plus due to some ring and edge wear (including some chipping) in addition to some writing on its back and a couple of seam splits (5" in its upper right-hand corner and 8" in the center of its spine).  The LP itself is very good plus as well - still retaining a nice gloss over the last half-century.
   To protect your investment, this LP - as with all vinyl purchased at The Great Escape Online - will be placed in a new plastic outer sleeve prior to packing and shipping.
