Description
This is a GENUINE autograph by ELVIS PRESLEY. The autograph is in bold blue and on the US copy of his vinyl album 'SPEEDWAY'. The record itself is mint with no marks on, and the record label is perfect with not even any marks around the spindle hole. The correct inner sleeve is with the record and it is in superb condition - a small number '60' has been written on the top right corner. The cover is clean and tidy with no tears or stickers on - the release number is RCA LSP3989. On the rear can be made out the words 'PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY'. Apart from Presley's signature there are the signatures of Tommy Vance, Tony Prince and Peter Aldersley (all three were Radio Luxemburg presenters) plus two other signatures that I have not been able to verify. The record came direct from Peter Aldersley's collection along with about 200+ more Elvis items including many unseen rarities. This was the only autographed item. Peter was the co-founder of the UK Elvis Presley Appreciation Society. Bob Solley of RECORD COLLECTOR MAGAZINE in the UK verified the signature and I contacted Tony Prince direct...to quote..."the signature was obtained on the MGM set of 'Thats the Way It Is'. The signature is genuine and so is mine!!". I think that is proof enough. The winner gets the record exceptionally well-packed and sent either First Class UK or Air Mail overseas.
