RARE original RCA VICTOR Records very first STEREO press released, made and distributed in Chile in 1972 by RCA S.A. Electrónica De Grabaciones Maestras De RCA Records TM(S) (RCA Chile), catalog number LSP-4776, with hand etched matrix numbers LSP-4776-A in Side 1 and LSP-4776-B in Side 2, with unusual white RCA Victor Records labels. Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!! A very interesting rarity for all Elvis Presley lovers, fans and collectors!!!

“ELVIS AS RECORDED AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN” was originally released in 1972 and the same year we got this album released in Chile but like in most of the cases of that period, we got it with an UNIQUE COVER, made of a single piece of thin cardboard folded in the middle, so 3 sides are open like a gatefold cover with two sheets of paper attached to the cardboard (partially glued in the mouth edge) and kept held for a plastic bag. In Chile front cover keeps strictly the original US artwork with the only difference in Chile the RCA Victor logo and catalog number placed at top left corner is green, with album title written in English only. Back cover is different, the album title is written in Spanish only (with a different translation, “ELVIS At The Madison Square Garden – New York”), with tracklist written in Spanish, translated to English, with full credits for songwriters, and pictures of other 4 albums by Elvis Presley released here in Chile. In labels the album title and tracklist are in Spanish only with no additional information, but it’s written in Spanish: “For songwriters and translations please read the back cover”. But the most interesting fact to notice in this VERY FIRST PRESS it’s a hidden error in the matrix number of Side 2!!! Yes, they wrote “LSP-4676-B”(!!!) and then overwrote a “7” on the first “6” to make it “LSP-4776-B”. The original RCA Victor release "LSP-4676" is Floyd Cramer's "Detours"!!! So, here you have the chance to own this historical record with an UNIQUE COVER, and UNIQUE ALBUM TITLE, with WHITE RCA VICTOR LABELS and UNIQUE MATRIX ERROR!!! WOW!!! Another great FIND!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in VG+ or EX- condition for both sides, clean and complete, no ring marks, no blemishes, only general wear at the edges, more evident in corners with some little creases and some little rips in the mouth edge, light age browning and a pair of names written in back cover. The record is in strong VG or VG+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, but with scuffs, hairlines and slight scratches, which don’t affect play. Labels are in EX+ or NM-  condition both sides, clear and clean, with only minimal spindle hole wear, light age browning and the same pair of names written in the Side 1 with blue pencil. The sound is still a nice surprise, it’s in great VG+ or EX- condition the Side 1, loud, clear and clean, with a soft background noise(surface noise is normal in records from Chile) and occasional soft crackles, and in VG or VG+ condition the Side 2, with a soft background noise and some crackles, more evident in the song “For The Good Times”, which don’t cause major distraction form the great sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, sure this record isn’t for audiophiles or Minty minds, but it keeps a glossy look and a very decent and more than respectable sound quality after 41 years, with no distortions, jumps or repetitions at all!!! I’d recommend a deep vacuum cleaning. And keep in mind this album has an UNIQUE COVER, an UNIQUE ALBUM TITLE, WHITE RCA VICTOR LABELS and UNIQUE MATRIX ERROR!!! WOW!!! Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

PAYMENT

PayPal (send me a message if you offer some other way to pay that we can accept)

Payment must be received within the first 7 seven days after the auction is ended

If you pay via PayPal and PayPal holds the money (with status “Completed – Funds Not Yet Available” in my PayPal account), I will consider the items paid when funds are available in my PayPal account (this could happen after 21 days buyer paid in accord to PayPal policies). If you don’t want to take the risk to have to wait those 21 days please wait for my invoice and instructions.

SHIPPING (Packing and Postage)

We have an unique value worldwide: 

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP7 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

In the case PayPal informs me the funds are “PENDING” in my account, the record will be shipped immediately after PayPal releases the payment and funds are available. Please, remember that in my auctions the buyer pays for shipping and if the money isn’t available in my PayPal account I can’t ship the records. I know this could be an inconvenient, but I hope you can understand that PayPal places on hold the money, not me.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.

In the case PayPal has placed on hold the payment, feedback will be left when buyer has received the record and expressed his/her satisfaction with a possitive feedback.

THIS NEW POLICY IS AGAINST BUYERS AND SELLERS!!!

Buyers pay for shipping in my auctions, so it’s obvious that if money is placed on hold the seller (me) won’t have that money available to ship the items. What kind of help is that? Buyers deserve respect and I don’t see how to place on hold the payments will help to “maintain successful transactions”… My buyers and me don’t need that kind of help!!! The comments I get prove the quality of the records I sell and the satisfaction of my buyers with the service I give. I hope you can understand that I try to give all the satisfaction possible and records are sent when payments are available in my PayPal account but if PayPal decides to place on hold your payment and the money you pay for shipping, then it’s PayPal the responsible for the extra delay of 21 days, NOT ME.
