ELVIS PRESLEY UNIQUE 7" SINGLE WITH AMAZING WHITE CHRISTMAS SAME LABEL ON BOTH SIDES OF THE SINGLE.
Comes With letter of Providence.
Condition: VG - Very Good some minor surface marks, play tested.Label: RCA VICTOR RCA1430
I would imagine this is a one off Unique Elvis Item, I spent hours on the internet seeing if I could find anything similar, there appear to be many errors and mistakes from various artists but nothing with a double same label.
From 1957 on the RCA VICTOR label this single is Blue Christmas on one side and White Christmas on the reverse and plays as such, however somehow they have made an error in the pressing process and put "WHITE CHRISTMAS " label on both sides, I have play tested both sides and it plays Blue Christmas on one side and White Christmas on the other. It came out of a collectors large Elvis collection.
It comes with a 1964 date stamped letter to a Mr Jim Betts of Glasgow from the Elvis Record Club at the Henor Record Centre, 41 Derby Road, Heanor in Derbyshire, the letter reads as follows: Dear Jim Please return the record of Elvis Xmas if you don't wish to keep it as a collectors item for we will change it for the correct label, we await your further instructions Yours Faithfully Signature which I can not make out P.P. Elvis record club Please include your membership number in all correspondence to help us in quick identification J.W.
Obviously Jim realised he had got something a little bit special and never returned the record.
This RARE COLLECTORS VINYL 7" SINGLE as I said it came from a large Elvis collection and would appear to be fairly rare if not unique.
