What It Is:
This is the original 2 record, 45 rpm, promo release of Elvis Costello's 4th album, Get Happy!!. This was yet another type of album from Elvis, this time a 20 song set of soulful and often uptempo tight pop constructions. It was a bit overwhelming at first, and it always sounded a bit cramped on the regular LP edition. However, this item, a pioneer in high fidelity 45 rpm releases, let the songs stretch out over the sides. A little more time to digest each blast. The bass is deeper and strong, and it all has a confident power.
Later, Mobile Fidelity reissued Get Happy in a two record 45 version in emotional and financial homage to this release.

Condition:
Jackets: VG++: just a little dirty wear, the front glued sheets that include the record information is clean.Record: visual grade: VG++: generally the records are very clean, no spindle marks, no scuffs, no scratches, and all the original gloss still present. However, there is one audible scuff through the first cut on side 2, Possession. It's more audible in the lead-in groove before the music starts, but is sometimes audible behind the music.
play grade: VG++: Surface noise comes and goes across the 4 sides of this set. Rarely the noise gets as bad as VG+, but most of the time the disks are very quiet.
Grading standards:
All items are visually graded, and if they've been play graded that will be noted. I follow Goldmine grading standards. My grading is conservative, at least as good as I would expect from anyone that I would buy from.Payment:
