MEGA RARE!! ELVIS 78rpm. Original 1957 UK.
“The Truth About Me”. 6 inch Shellac (One Sided)
FIRST PRESSING!! ***Mail Order Only***
Up for auction is this MEGA RARE 6 inch shellac single of Elvis issued through Mail Order Only!!! Via WEEKEND MAIL. These issues would have been extremely small in number and as they were made of breakable shellac, very, very few would still exist today. This super example looks as though it has only been played about a half dozen times. No stylus marks or any scuffs.
VINYL: NM.
LABELS: One only. Red lettering on a white ground. See photos. Label states: “The Truth about Me” exclusive by Elvis Presley, The HMV Recording Star. Made in England.
To sum up. This record comes with its original brown hard card mailer and bears a LONDON PAID 13 March 1957 red Post Office cancel.
This has got to be a one-to-own RARE novelty Elvis Presley item. It would be nigh on impossible to find another. If you are a serious Elvis fan/collector, then this is an absolute MUST HAVE.
