GREETINGS fellow Elton John fans. More great items from my ELTON JOHN/BERNIE TAUPIN collection. Here I have a real collector's item. It is a bright red opaque vinyl Greatest Hits pressed in Columbia, authorized by DJM. This vinyl is not clear like the Japanese ones (not taking anything away from those, they are great). It is also in beautiful condition and appears to be unplayed. The original curved plastic for the vinyl is even included. The cover is also in excellent condition, no real ring wear, just sort of a shadow of the album on the back, but no color is missing from the cover, no writing or creasing. The front is near perfect. The only thing I can find as an imperfection if you want to call it that, is the top and bottom corners on the cover are curved ever so slightly. They almost look like they we were there from the start. If they were cut as a sample, it sure looks better than the usual straight across cut or a punch hole.
The only other one of these I have seen over the years sold for well over $350.00. You would be hard pressed to find another especially in this condition. It is oh so very cool. Who ever gets this beauty will be very pleased.
