***ELTON JOHN ‘Lady Samantha’ /‘All across the Havens’ *** Rare original 1969 UK Philips 7" vinyl single housed in original company sleeve with the vinyl in extremely good condition, especially for a record that is 40 years old. This was Elton's 2nd ever single following his time with Bernie Taupin as staff writers for Dick James - but by the summer of 1968, he had begun recording singles for release under his own name. Even though they were giving songs to other artists who had hit singles neither of his early singles on Phillips including this one sold well.
