1999. Limited Edition Audiophile. All-Analogue Half Speed Mastering from the original Master Tapes. Proprietary High Quality, Virgin Vinyl, 180 gram Pressing by RTI. Includes Photo Lyric Insert.

Classic Records pride themselves for releasing each album with the original artwork, LP labels and any other materials which were included with original pressings. Classic Records have gone out of business and all of it's releases are long out of print. Their extensive catalog of half-speed mastered reissues are regarded by audiophiles as some of the best sounding LPs ever produced.

Condition: Laminated, heavy-board record sleeve shows very little wear. Corners are sharp. Spine, top and bottom are solid and show no signs of shelf wear, chipping or splits. There are no spindle marks on the label. Vinyl is clean, shiny and plays like new.

Review: There is no denying the musicianship of this Oscar- and Grammy-winning artist. Elton John composes songs steeped in the craft of old-time tunesmithing. His dreamily melodic, catchy-chorus, piano-based writing style has been gobbled up by the public for decades. But as strongly evidenced on this album, his 35th (including greatest-hits records and boxes), John and lyricist Bernie Taupin want to simplify their lives. The one-word titles on all except the title track are indicative of the unadorned sentiments expressed on this collection. MADE IN ENGLAND is John at his most mature--no fantastic Captains or manic Liberace-isms, just a songwriter trying to entertain his audience on that smooth sail without making too many waves.
