ELLIE POP: Ellie Pop US MAINSTREAM STEREO ORIGINAL S/6115. 1968

Here's a terrific original copy of this highly-rated and very rare album from this Michigan band. Ellie Pop cut just this one album, which has become rated as a classic for it's Beatlesesque, melodic pop approach with the odd psychedelic touch here and there. I've seen it described as similar to The Merry-Go-Round, or like 'The Association with balls'. It is now considered to be one the best albums on the Mainstream label. The sleeve is in fine shape, nice and firm with very few signs of ageing. There is a small, unobtrusive export hole top left, and also a few hardly noticeable pinpricks near the top left corner as well. Otherwise the sleeve is as good as you could expect. I'd grade it EX-. The vinyl has hardly a mark, and I'd grade the vinyl an easy EX. This is a great copy of a great album, don't miss it.
