ELLA FITZGERALD 2013 Let No Man Write My Epitaph Lacquers Box Classic Records
Ella Fitzgerald - Let No Man Write My Epitaph (Classic)
2013 box set of two 12" metal lacquers which were cut from the master tapes provided to Classic Records by Verve for the LP reissue. Only three sets of these lacquers were made, and this copy is numbered "1 of 3" on a sticker on the bottom of the box. The box also has a test pressing label on lid which has catalog number and "Lacquers" stamped on top, and a title sticker and custom Classic Records "seals" on both sides of the lid.
Full contents include two lacquers (each is one-sided, "A" and "B") and a fully manufactured cover for the reissue LP.
These lacquers were used in the actual production of the LP, and as such they are USED. They have writing on the bottom blank sides, and the lacquer itself is starting to peel from the sides of the plate. This does not affect play, but as they are incredibly fragile they might peel further in the future if not cared for properly. We have tested the discs just to see if they play and they do, although with a little bit of pop and crackle at the very beginning of the side.
Condition: Discs VG, Cover VG++

We grade conservatively, accurately and honestly. S/S, M, M- (NM), VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, WBR (Poor). We do not use EX (many dealers' EX would be our VG).
