Description

You are bidding on an original 1962 copy of the ELECTRAS self-titled LP (ELT-201) featuring Democratic Presidential nominee, JOHN KERRY, on bass. Allegedly, 500 copies were pressed by RCA's Custom Recording Department, and the record is machine-stamped "N80P5489" in the deadwax. The record features 13 cuts -- 11 instrumentals and 2 vocals -- and the quality is definite garage amateur. The condition of the record is VERY GOOD. It retains its original sheen but exhibits numerous light to moderate scratches. However, there are no deep scratches or skips and the record plays surprisingly well; the surface noise does not overpower the music. The condition of the cover is VERY GOOD MINUS. While the cover is intact, the top seam is split and has been repaired with clear tape. The cover has yellowed and has light staining from moisture in the lower right corner. The original owner's name is written on both the front and back cover and his/her favorite cuts have a small ink mark next to them. As a collectible album, this LP definitely is scarce and will appeal to most garage-band collectors. Its value as a political collectible makes it doubly desirable!
